Cancellation Policy

Birth Services Policy At Ellie Ann Birth Services, my goal is to provide steady, reliable support so you can feel confident and cared for throughout your pregnancy and birth journey. To make sure expectations are clear and stress-free, here’s what you can count on when working with me: On-Call Support I’ll be on call for you 24/7 starting at 38 weeks until your baby makes their arrival. That means I’m ready to join you whenever labor begins. Communication For everyday questions, you’re welcome to reach out by text or email during regular hours (9am–7pm). When you’re in your birthing window—or if something urgent comes up—you can always call or text right away. Backup Support Life can be unpredictable, but you will never be left without care. If I’m unable to attend your birth due to illness or emergency, a trusted backup doula will step in so that you always have continuous support. Payments A non-refundable retainer secures your spot on my calendar and covers preparation and resources I provide before birth. The remaining balance is due by 38 weeks so that we can move into your on-call period with everything in place. Cancellations If you need to cancel services before 38 weeks, partial refunds may be available (minus the retainer and any services already provided). Once labor has begun, the full fee is considered earned. Scope of Practice As a doula, I do not provide medical care, diagnoses, or perform clinical tasks. My role is to support you emotionally, physically, and with evidence-based education—so that you feel steady, informed, and empowered at every step. Your Role To make sure you get the most from our time together, I ask that you share your birth preferences with me, keep me updated on any changes in provider or location, and let me know right away when labor begins.
